WTFO is an acronym invented and used by the Navy. The acronym, when used, is usually in the form of a question (as in WTFO?). The acronym is used when things are not quite right or results of an action are not as expected. This blog Is my commentary and opinion on events of the day.
THANK YOU! It was bugging the crap out of me.

ReplyDeleteI find it amusing that "snafu" lost its root meaning of the acronym S.ituation N.ormal A.ll F.***** U.p many years ago. I have heard it used by church-going folk who would not even let d*mn out of their mouths.
I also have in my possession an email from one such person describing a very messy situation as foobarred. The root spelling is fubar.
